TPP Hosts Japan's LDP Youth Division Amid Shared Challenges
It was our pleasure to welcome members of the Youth Division of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) to the headquarters of Taiwan People's Party (TPP) today. In the aftermath of the recent Hualien earthquake, Japan's support for Taiwan was vividly apparent. Japanese government officials extended heartfelt expressions of sympathy, and various Japanese businesses, from sushi chains to cosmetic brands, launched spontaneous fundraising initiatives. Their gestures of kindness were deeply appreciated, and the #TaiwanJapanFriendship is only strengthened through such trials and trying times.
During their visit, the LDP's delegation showed keen interest in how TPP engages with young people and effectively communicates our political principles. I was pleased to introduce them to our key leadership in the New Taipei City Chapter, Foreign Affairs Department, and Youth Departments—all of whom are under 30. My philosophy is simple: to garner the trust of the youth, we must entrust them with real opportunities to contribute fresh perspectives. When asked how frequently the TPP interacts with young constituents, my response was unequivocal: every minute of every day.
We are grateful to our friends from the LDP for their visit and eagerly anticipate further deepening the ties of cooperation and mutual support between Taiwan and Japan. Your passion and dedication are truly inspiring. Together, let us continue to shine on political stages.
