International Migrants Day
The Taiwan People’s Party would like to pay tribute to those who have crossed borders and bravely sought out a new life! On this International Migrants Day, we celebrate the rich culture and vibrant energy that new residents bring to Taiwan. Their contributions are a vital force, making Taiwan more beautiful and diverse.
In an effort to help new residents integrate into Taiwan, our legislator, Mạch Ngọc Trân, who immigrated from Vietnam, has proposed the “New Residents Basic Law.” This law focuses on providing essential support, including educational opportunities, workplace skill training, and language education. Through these initiatives, we aim to assist new residents and their families in adapting to Taiwan, a big family. At the same time, we hope to foster cross-cultural exchange and understanding, ensuring that everyone in Taiwan feels a sense of belonging and becomes a valuable partner in the nation’s social development.
We hope to appreciate the beauty of different cultures and, together, create a more caring and tolerant future! Regardless of where they come from, everyone in Taiwan should feel welcome and enjoy every day with happiness and peace.
